parking charge at stansted, Alpahabet lease car

I think I may be getting a charge, I dropped someone off close to the radisson at stansted last week, was stopped for about 30 seconds on a stretch of road with no yellow lines., just before i pulled away a car with cameras on it came around the corner behind me
My problem is I have been in touch with Alphabet to say if a charge comes to them, telling them not to pay and tell them it was me driving allowing me to fight it.
Their response is
As Alphabet are the registered keeper of your vehicle, any fines come directly to us and are paid in order to stop the possibility of further escalation.
Unfortunately, we are unable to inform you before paying any future charges received for your vehicle as it is in the contract, which you took out and signed with us, that we will pay and recharge all fines.
Is there anything I can do to prevent them paying
It is a company car not a personal lease

If it's private land it is unlikely to be a fine so they are talking out of their hats, it's an invoice!0

What do the terms say/state?
It may be worthwhile pre alerting them that a private company is trying to send a speculaitve invoice to the registered keeper, and telling them that they should refer to the BVLRA guidelines.
furthermore any fee that they take form you in respect of this speculative invoice will be treated as an unauthorised transactionFrom the Plain Language Commission:

I have told alphabet all of the above in a second email except the unauthorised transaction bit, am awaiting their response.
I will try and find the terms if not will request from my company0 -
What is key are the terms in your company's Car Policy / Driver Policy. Alphabet's terms only apply IF your company doesn't have a Car Policy, or said policy refers to the lease company's policy.
Alphabet's lease hire T&Cs are not easy to find!0 -
have checked my company policy
it states
the lease company will
A pay the penalty promptly to avoid additional penalties, or
B advise the issuer that the vehicle is leased to xxxx and forward the fine on to you for you to settle or appeal
Anyone have any suggestions if Alphabet insist they will pay before letting me know0 -
If your contract uses the words fines and penalties you should be ok. These are specific legal terms and you haven't had a fine or a penalty. Legally it is an invoice.
On those grounds Alphabet should forward it to you to deal with.0 -

Thanks i agree, but it is making Alphabet see that point before they pay
I will email Alphabet and point this out to them0 -
Go to your bank or card company and block them from access. They said they can pay the fine or pass it to you and that is what you asked for. But keep it simple and block any further payments to them.0
