I would suggest that you go and have a look yourself.
Forget the holes, what you are looking for is wood dust (like sawdust only finer). If there are active woodworm there will be lots of it, probably enough to sweep up into a small handful.0 -

Also from now until about July there will be beetles. Look around window ledges as they tend to head towards light. If there is an infestation come August you should be finding there little dead bodies around. I would at least wait until then and have a search around the loft and for the wood dust also.0 -
British Gas don't do Northern Ireland, so back to square one.
I won't be in the house for a few weeks as the sale process seems verrrry slow.

Don't put new carpets down, instead have the whole house treated when its empty, much easier to get to all the woodwork. Takes a couple of days to dry out after spraying then fit carpets and move in.0
