cancel setanta contract early?

sorry if this is on the wrong board but i hope someone can help me as i have just contacted setanta about my current subsciption as i wanted to know that if after 6 months i decide to pay the contract off in full to cancel the 12 month contract i am i is this possible or will i have to wait for the full 12 month term to end with no option to end the contact early?

i have conatcted setanta but they have give me two different answers so i hope someone on here might have answer for me ?

Their advert currently on TV says there's no minimum contract...

hi conor and thanks for your reply to my post.

i signed up with setanta on the 8th july 2007 and i managed to get the offer of the first 2 months at £1 and £9.99 per month thereafter with the clydesdale bank offer which has been widley advertised. i did not know till today that it was a 12 month contarct with this offer. i remeber asking when i signed up that i asked if it was def a monthly contract and they are now saying it is a 12 month conract!
anyway that is why i am after info about paying the contract off early and they cant agree because i called today and they have said it can be done then i just got an email from them saying that it def canot be paid off early and i must wait for the end of the contarct!

any help anyone can give me would be great!

I think they are playing games with you. There is no reason why you can't cancel your contract as long as your willing to pay the cost of the out standing contract.

thansk for your post and that is what i thought as well.

i would not want to cancel/ pay up the remaining contact until may 2008 so i would have 2 months which i would like to pay. but again they say its impossible and they do not allow you to clear the acct early and you must wait till the final month of the contarct.
