Travelcitydirect

Has anyone used Treavel City Direct before, they seem to be cheapest for a holiday to Florida, but do not know anyone who has flown with them.
Also wanted to use seperate Car hire firm and not theirs but they have included a £160 Supplement for the privelage of me NOT using their 'free' car?????
Anyone able to help, I have a 11 year old bot, teo girls who will be 1 year old when we travel and a wife who buys suitcases as a hobby when we go to USA and fills them up with 'bargains' before we leave.....

I booked a holiday to Tenerife through Travelcitydirect a couple of years ago. In my opinion, they were excellent. They were substantially cheaper than anyone else and easy to deal with over the phone. We were met at the airport by a local rep and had a private transfer to our accommodation. Unlike some tour operators, the local rep did not visit the accomodation on set days during our stay but was contactable by phone if required. All in all a very good service and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

My Parents went to Florida earlier this year with Travel City Direct & they were great. My (disabled) Brother went with them & they were very helpful in arranging appropriate seats on the flight, wheelchair transportation etc.
I've looked at their website a few times & their prices always look very good.

I've been twice to Florida with TCD and have no complaints whatsoever and would use them again. Good service and good prices.
the local rep did not visit the accomodation on set days during our stay but was contactable by phone if required
TCD have an information station at Lake Buena Vista and according to their website , one on I Drive also. We always just book a fly drive , so found the information station invaluable for booking hotels , trips and information.

Why don't you want to use their car hire? When we went with them it was Dollar and i've always found them to be very good , whereas when we booked with Airtours (big mistake), it was with Alamo/Holiday Autos or something like that and when we arrived they had no record of our booking and no cars left so we ended up going to Dollar anyway.

I wouldn't go to Las Vegas with TCD again though as we had a long delay on both the outward and return flight with them .

    Hello,

We have also travelled to Floriday with TravelCityDirect and would definately use them again.

We flew with Britannia (crap !!!) as it was in May 03, so they were the only airline from Manchester at the time.

The flight was to Sanford airport, rather than Orlando International, and the car hire was also with Dollar, but the airport is small, so we were soon in the Dollar area, cos it is JUST outside the airport.

Everyone I know who has gone recently to Florida has booked with TCD as they have always been the cheapest - They were for us.

    Hope this helps.

When we booked, we would have got a bit of a discount if I'd phoned the number on the website (£100 off), but dont know if this has changed.
