Hard Rock Hell (Team Rock Comp)

I got a text from them yesterday saying they had e-mailed me re a win. I checked my email and yes the email was there, but they sent it in May 2013:rotfl: It was for tickets to a music festival in Wales, but you had to pay for accommodation, so a scam.
The text came from +34676487792 (Spain) which is odd.
So beware if you get the same message.

At HRH there is no camping or anything, so it wouldn't necessarily be a "scam" to win tickets to the event but not have accommodation provided.

Also, Team Rock is a reputable site.

I got the same text from Fleur regarding a runners up prize but couldn't find an email or comp on here that it related too, so not sure what to think

Yeah I got a phone call from Fleur and an email saying runner up prize, said thanks but can't make it and can she give it to someone else, would cost way too much for accommodation, ect

This topic crops up regularly, sometimes Hard Rock Hell, sometimes Portmeirion music festival, sometimes Ibiza Rocks... they are always the same company and basically they always give six "free" tickets to anyone who enters the comp, but then give it the hard sell on accommodation. It's not exactly a scam, but just an underhand way of making money on selling accommodation by offering free entrance to the festivals.
