Having an incredibly spend weekend.
The cinema was fully booked so going bowling instead. (Going to feed my children before we go, as last time I was sucked into snacks and THEN a meal as well.) Two games of bowling on offer is £5 per child, so £15 and then we'll get tea at the lane. Going in a group of , normally would refuse food and drink but the others are all getting it, and like the children to not be too different. They are getting to an age where questions of why don't we spend of XYZ.
On Saturday I've got a kids birthday party at one of those trampolining places, need to buy a gift but do have cards, wrapping from stash.
I've also been invited to watch a football match with friends on Saturday, kids really really wanted to go, and I'm on hol from job 2. It's cost £30 for the tickets, my friend insisted on paying the £5 each for the kids. This will be spendy as we will have to pay for the bus over there about £10 plus petrol to get to the bus stop. Then inevitably will need to buy snacks (will take my own, but still cost £5 in picnic stuff no doubt.)
It's a constant dilemma I face on a low income, I often feel lonely and like I've got no friends, but everytime I socialise it costs so much money. Have been feeling like everyone has larger social circles than me for a while, so trying to make an effort to do more.HOME

Had a good weekend, and it wasn't as speedy as it could have been.
Went with baby group friends on Friday night (£24), trampolining with school mums on Saturday morning (£4), football Saturday afternoon (£30). I was supposed to be doing a pub quiz with work colleagues Sunday evening but this was cancelled due to the snow.
Get paid in 10 days and I still have £1050 left. Was hoping to save £300 this month but with some utilities, mortgage still to come out, i'm not sure. Really will try for £700.
In other news my offer on the homes under the hammer style project house was rejected. So looks like I won't be moving anytime soon.HOME

Going on holiday with the ex in August, he's paying, I organised it all though and we got a very good price. Flying ryanair to Barcelona, then staying 11km out in a small village in the mountains. Doesn't look to be a lot there, but we are close to the metro and the bus stops outside the hotel. The complex itself is quite large, as its a hotel and separate apartment block. We are staying in a two bed apartment, which is usually all we can stay in, as there's five of us. It's cost £396 for accommodation, £550 for flights so can't complain. Kids very excited. :j:jHOME

I know it's not ideal, but it's free holiday and the kids are looking forward to it. I couldn't afford to go if he wasn't paying.
Sometimes you have to show forgiveness to move forward, and although I don't like a lot of what he does, I don't like me being bitter either. The girls becoming well adjusted adults has always been my goal throughout everything, I've tried to show them how to live responsibly, I've tried to give them a social conscience, they are very far from being entitled brats, and although I haven't forgotten the 8 weeks where he saw them for 6 hrs in total last summer, I don't want to use it as a stick to beat him with as it's not good for the children. He's been good enough to pay for the holiday, he doesn't need to, so it should be fun.HOME

Just a quick update to keep my running total of money in/out for the year up.
March
Spent #1050.
Earned. #2751.
Earnings particularly high as I am paid 4 weekly by both my employments and was therefore paid twice in March.
Savings now at #2200. Feeling more calm about things.HOME
