For the petrol, do you do much shopping at tescos, because using the clubcard gets you money off the petrol, so if you're shopping there anyway, it might make sense to capitalise on that, maybe alternate which car gets taken and always fill up there, even if it's only £15 or £20. At least that bit of petrol is cheaper than the rest?
Could one or both of you get a second job, just for a little while. I had a friend who did this, and because she chose a theatre, she's saving a fair bit on entertainment, because she can apply for free tickets?! And it's only one or two nights a month for her, so although not easy, it's not a ridiculous amount of time either? Or you could try and get jobs at your local supermarket, for the discount?
Hows it all going?
Hi purplesky,
Thank you for your comments which keep bringing me back :-)
We shop at Aldi for cheapness so can't use tesco but thank you.
OH has got a second job working 2 out of 4 weekends which is going straight into the credit cards because it's money we've never had.
I am still swagbucking and ebaying like a looney :rotfl:
Will update signature now for month of June.

Little update for the month of June to keep my sanity and for anyone that does read this (purplesky my saviour)
This month we have paid off and canceled credit card 2 - only one more to go and with the second job with OH this will hopefully be paid off by November 2015 with the loan left to tackle.
It is finally coming down and with the effort that it is taking I know I won't be doing this again for a long long time!
Will report in the coming weekend for eBay monies or swagbucks

Just a small idea.
Compare the MPG of your car vs your husbands.
If your car gets more MPG, suggest he uses that for his trips as presumably his mileage is higher.
So, same mileage done every month, but the more economical car does more miles.
(may or may not be relevant or practical, but might work out for you).
As an alternative idea, could you car pool with someone else who works near you?

So I have seemed to have abounded this however I am back.
Last credit card is still the same but loan has now gone down to £6529.60.
Once credit card is paid off (end of October due to wage date changes in hubby's new job) we are going to try and pay off loan And save.
Unsure if this seems the right thing to do but I so want our own house to live in.
Then I guess I will start posting somewhere else once debt free - how strange xxTotal debt -[STRIKE]£10,945.24 £10,174.14 £9516.82 £5500.92 £5295.51 [/STRIKE] £4840.74 - 09.02.2016
