which wireless adapter do you have, not the router, the wireless card etc in the pc. You need to look to see if me drivers are available for it, alternatively plug the router into a network card instead.

That is unlikely. Following the instruction more closely should solve the problem.

Thanks to Albatross and Donnie. The adapter is not a problem as it is suitable for ME. The problem occurs when I try to run the disc to set up Talk Talk. It says the operating system needs updating and won't allow me to go any further.

You don't need to install the CD to get the internet connection up and running.

This certainly explains a lot. I personally have never installed anything by my ISP as it's not needed and tends to cause more problems than it solves.
