Very - Smart Watch Allergy

Options
Bit of a strange question, but here goes.

My partner recently bought me a Sony Smartwatch 3 from Very. I was obviously very excited at getting this and took all of the stickers, etc off to try it on. Almost instantly i had an allergic reaction to the stainless steel clasp and couldn't wear it. I put it back in the box, minus the stickers, and set it up for a return to Very.

My partner has since called Very to confirm that we can return it without the stickers on. 1 un-helpful adviser said we could if it conforms with their return policy, while the another equally and rude adviser said no we can't as it is now used and "you wouldn't want to receive a used item would you?"

Has anyone had any similar sort of experience or am i now stuck with a watch that if it wasn't for a allergy i would be happily wearing now.

Do you have a nickel allergy ? It might not be surgical grade nickel free stainless steel.

My OH has a nickel allergy and it's rather expensive for me as only platinum or gold will do.

Hmmm yes I do wonder if she's actually willing her immune system to reject the paste jewellery :)

That's odd. My son purchased a FitBit Surge and has had an allergic reaction to the strap on it.

Op, if you have the stickers still hanging around, then stick them back on the watch and return it.
If you don't still have the stickers, then put out a plea via social media. I'm sure someone who has purchased the same make/model will be willing to ship you the stickers for the price of a stamp.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

I'll have a root the bin and try. Thanks for the advice re: social media.

You might want to try palladium ... it's very hypo-allergenic (it's my wedding ring metal, and i've had a previous allergy to metals)

It's a lot cheaper than platinum
