Only fools read the motley fool.
Reading the Financial Times every day would be a much better use of your time.0 -
Yes I noticed Motley Fool presenting an investment thesis and a counterthesis at the same time in different articles! I guess that's what makes a market- for every seller there's a buyer, all that changes is the price.0

The yahoo finance site often has links to articles my MF.
I remember about October time they ran an article saying will the FTSE reach 7000 by Christmas. The following week the article was will the troubles in Ukraine drag the FTSE down to 5000 by Christmas.
For my money a complete bunch of tw*ts.0 -
If they release articles predicting every alternative, then they will always be able to point back to the one that turned out to be correct.0

MF, like MSE, has both editorial content and forums.
In both cases the forums are the better resource.0 -
Are they still going on about Tesco?!0

I just wish I could get google finance to ignore their news spam.0

Motley Fool is a selection of pre-moderated blog posts. It's an odd world, they'll pay £50 for genuinely new and original content. It doesn't need to be particularly well researched, but it's not a tough job.
I base this on 10 years' experience as a business, health and technology journalist.0 -
I like their podcast. Not sure I have learned a great deal for me personally - but it has insight.0

Interesting. I listened to their podcasts a while back, but it all seemed to be noise about markets so I got bored of them making predictions that seemed to be based on nothing more than strong feelings, and found Radio4 MoneyBox and the FT MoneyShow. That and Martin Lewis' Consumer Programme on Radio5live get me through the week.
Maybe I'll give it another go.0
