signed up for an Egg card a few months ago and it was interest free till august. I paid it off in full in July and now they have charged me interest. I am fuming. Does anyone know where I stand?
I am also annoyed that I haven't received any of the 1% cash bach (or the money for signing up through Quidco)

which card did you sign up for
the 'egg money' card that gives 1% cashback payable every march... or
the 'egg' card which doesn't give 1% cashback.0 -
I'm assuming you have the Egg Card, because AFAIK that's the only one that pays out on Quidco. So, some possibilities...
Your July payment was late (perhaps you sent a cheque or your BACS payment didn't clear in time?)
Interest on a BT fee?
You took a cash advance on the card?0 -
Ive had an egg card for a while now and canceled it in April, yet the other day I checked and saw they had been charging me 50p per month minimum interest, even on a 0 balance. I phoned them up and explained what I had done and eventually they credited my account (back to 0) and said to check it in August to make sure it had canceled, it hadn't, I was charged interest again, so I phoned them again and explained what had happened (it was easier this time) so they have now credited my account and emailed me confirmation of cancellation.
Sounds like something similar might have happened to you.0 -

There's still some confusion.Iwantahouse wrote: »thanks I will await March for the cashback.
You only get 1% cashback with the Egg Money card (Mastercard).
The Egg Money card does not offer a 0% introductory period.
As I said earlier, it appears that you applied for the Egg Card (Visa)...in which case, you will not get any cashback - next March or ever!0 -
Ive had a similar problem over last two months, egg have been charging me a minimum finance charge of 50p and each time ive got it credited it bk when i phoned up(luckily i had found an 0800 number) i got this bloke giving me a lecture on how the payment system worked. He went on for aboout 10 minutes before saying he would credit the amount bk.For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0
