  • Beautiful dress! And what a bargain x
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Another 30th birthday this week so another lot of baking done as a present!

Also did some cupcakes for both DH and the birthday girl to take into work. Received £30 towards ingredients so rather than pay myself back used £25 as another overpayment.

Another £50 chopped off the total, and our total mortgage now starts with a 17 instead of an 18! Just £50 more to go this month & I'll have reached target. Anything over that will just be a bonus!

Just cashed out my first £5 from Geolotto. Not bad considering I only signed up a couple of weeks ago, mainly playing the free turbo game. I'd post my referral link but I think that breaks forum rules?

Not much going on here anyway, had a bit of a down day yesterday & splurged on junk food. Can't let that happen too often! Waste of money and calories. Did give DH the biscuits I'd bought & told him to hide them, so at least that's something.

Just sold one of my last Prime places, leaving me wth £50 in the bank so overpayed it in order to meet my target for the month. :j

Off out for an MSE girly day to celebrate, free tickets to the cinema (Pitch Perfect 2) followed by a hot stone massage courtesy of Groupon. Wonderful!

DH thinks I'm becoming obsessed with spreadsheets. I think he might be right!

I wish I found setting up spreadsheets easier. I have been using one that someone on here emailed me years ago but it doesn't quite work. I really need to set my own up but I keep putting it off!

I had no clue when I started, it's been very much trial & error getting it to all work correctly! Happy to share my formulae if my set up will work for you. The calculations still aren't perfect (I'm about £5 out from the actual balance the last time I checked) but even so I find it all very motivating, putting different amounts in & seeing how it alters things!
