Yes I know hard to believe in this day and age. I bought a training course from The Knowledge Academy before Christmas but for personal reasons could not attend, so I cancelled my course well within the statutory time allowed.
The Knowledge Academy refused to refund my purchase (just under £2000). The attitude of The Knowledge Academy employees with one exception was dismissive and arrogant, and they insisted their terms and conditions took primacy over my statutory rights.
I provided all the facts, copies of emails etc to my credit card provider Santander and requested a Chargeback. They did need a chase a few weeks ago but have found in my favour, stating that The Knowledge Academy were wrong to treat their own terms above my statutory rights to a refund.
Santander have a mixed reputation for their bank accounts and rightly so, but on this occasion they were understanding, professional and explained how the chargeback process worked from the start.
A thumbs up to Santander!!
