You really need to talk to HR or ring the number on the above link if you are unsure still.
This isn't correct.
Your average pay for the purpose of calculating whether you qualify for SMP and how much is worked out on the average earned in a consecutive 8 week period at a fixed point in your pregnancy. See here for how to work this out based on your own due date and wage slips

I'm not actually with a union at the moment? I wish I would've joined.
Thanks Nicki for the info, using that I've worked out I earned an average of 118 pound still within those 8 weeks so is there still a chance I might qualify?0 -
ASDA don't care about H&S never mind doing a risk assessment. Ever go in an ASDA late at night, stuff all over the floor. And thats just the start.
I know ASDA didn't use to recognise a union after the WalMart takeover but I think they do now but it's not USDAW, think it is GMB.0 -

Yes, apparently GMB is the only union recognised by Asda and as such is also the only union recognised by Walmart in any of their operations in the world: http://www.gmb-southern.org.uk/work-and-campaigns/your-work/asda-2/0 -

Yes it looks like you do qualify, provided you started working for them at least 26 weeks before the beginning of the 15th week before your due date (ie before you conceived).0
