Morning All,
I do hope everyone is well.
Looks like its going to be another glorious day here again. I have been busy washing all the winter blankets and all the dogs blankets, it's so good to get the laundry out on the line.
I have had quite a hectic week and i am exhausted so i have planned a fairly quiet day today, hopefully enjoying the sun.
It's just plain annoying when housework etc gets in the way of enjoying life, i don't seem to mind during the cold weather but its so rare to get good weather in Scotland so i wan't to make the most of it.
Oh well best go and get on with the days chores.
Have a great day everyone
regards:j0 -
Morning all,
Day off today for me so Ive had a lazy morning got a wash on the go and am just sitting here with a cuppa, will get some toast after this and then jump in the shower.
Going to have a quick clean round this morning then maybe get in the garden for a while later.
Not sure whats for dinner, although we have some spicy spag bol left from yesterday so I might bung a couple of jacket spuds in and top with that and some cheese.
I do need to nip to a shop at some point as I need some new clicky type Tupperware, I have had mine years and they have lasted well but are starting to fall apart a bit now and some have been lost so need to get a few more, I prefer the sistema ones as they are much better quality and last for years so might go out later and get a few.
Right better get on, have good days all xx0 -
Mornin'
Very misty here this morning, supposed to be sunny later so pegged out the linen on the line.
The car I got yesterday, DS2 is allowed to drive, so he took it out last night and allegedly the exhaust fell off! So this morning he is having to fix it! A noisy car I will not tolerate (as well as being illegal, I'm sure)
Waited in again this morning for the scrap man to collect the broken car, only he hasn't turned up again. Why can't people just let you know they can't or don't want to come?!
Cleaned through this morning and discovered we have ants nesting in the hall skirting board so I have put some ant killer down as well as hoovering up a fair few.
Have a good day all0 -
Another glorious day
I was right, there was washing in the laundry bin this morning, which is now all washed and on the line.
Sorted out under the sink this morning and it looks a lot better and I can see what is in there, I found a bottle of bathroom stardrops so that is up in the bathroom, I will go ape if they don't keep the new bathroom clean.
Going to see MIL when DH gets home as it is her birthday today, she is being taken to lunch by DSIL so we won't go till about 4pm.
Just put a granary loaf in the breadmaker and I am looking forward to having that later.
The boys have a ys pork loin joint tonight (£1.25 and it will do two meals for the boys easily) with the last of the kale from the garden and roasties.
I am going to have a tuna steak with salad.
BFN xxBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

(((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
OH spent yesterday afternoon and evening in bed, an attack of the dreaded palps. They had gone ff by the time we settled down to sleep otherwise I would have been sleeping on the bed settee.
The old bed settee went this morning, it was not easyto get it out but they managed, at least they had the sense to tie the bed up so it did not open when they were moving it!!
Went to the library to get enough books to see us through our holiday, we go off a week tomorrow for a week in Suffolk. I am looking forward to a rest.
LOvely day again, a slight breeze just takes the edge off, but its still nice.0 -
Hi all,hope all is well.
I went in town this morning to pay a work cheque in for DH,& it was so nice to see everyone enjoying the sunshine.Hada little mooch round the shops too but all I bought was some sausages for tea from the market. Different stall to my usual one and they were a bit cheaper so will see how they compare.
My cousin came to visit yesterday so spent all morning rushing round tidying and all afternoon natteringI made leek & potato soup for our lunch and a banana cake and a traybake.
DGS expected in an hour,he is staying over as his Mum is going to a concert.DGD is coming for tea.She had the check up for her finger at the hospital yesterday and they are still pleased, some of the stitches have dissolved now,so hopefully next weeks visit will be the last.
Right I'm going to bob the pooch out for a little walk before DGS arrives x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Good Afternoon everyone, another glorious day here today and we had lunch in the garden again. I went into town this morning and got some good YS bargains including salmon and breaded chicken which will see us through the next few days and the most enormous cauliflower in T*sco for 49p!
We're taking the window out of the rickety shed this afternoon and hopefully it will be down and away by the end of the weekend. I'll then have to work out what I'm going to do with the place it stood in, it's visible from the back door so it will have to be something tidy! I am summoned, I can hear electric screwdriving going on so off to take out that window NOW!!!
Window pane out intact and roof is off the shed and being sawn in half for transport Ta Dahhh! Tea has been made and is brewing and will be poured in just a mo!!!0 -
Needless to say it's gone 3pm and I've not even looked at the utility room floor. The day is glorious, bright blue sky and no clouds to spoil the view. I ended up outside the front of the house pruning old rose bushes and even one old old rose tree. Up to my oxters in rose branches and thorns which are now piled up ready to get set on fire.
I'm so hot I've come back indoors for a cool down. So very different from last week.0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Well its absolutely gorgeous today. I've been quite busy today, I have done my ironing, baked a loaf and made some rock cakes. I have 2 loads on the washing line and have been out in the garden doing some weeding, need a rest now.:rotfl:
DD and her friend for some unknown reason slept in the sitting room last night as they were watching DVDs, not sure why they didn't sleep in a bed!:D
They got up about 12 noon, and I've sent them out for a walk as the weather is so gorgeous. DS is indoors on the Xbox - why?
Going to make bacon, leek and pasta bake for dinner tonight. DDs friend is going home sometime tomorrow.
Well enjoy the rest of your day everyone. I'd better go and finish up in the garden.SPC 11 #4450 -

Thanks for the good wishes for the blessing on Saturday.
I had not realised it was the day of the Grand National
We spent half of the last two days at the eye dept in the hospital as DH seems to have ulcerated and /or perforated the cornea. He needs an MRI in the next week or so to find out what has caused it then a confab between oncologist and optical specialist to see if treatment is possible and if he loses the eye and needs plastic surgery.
Looks as if the hospital merrygoround is starting again sigh. Maybe it will be third time lucky - fingers crossed.
No idea what to cook tonight so might use up the thai green chicken in the fridge and make mash for DH and marinade some chicken pieces and make sin free chips for me and DD.
Have a mountain of clean laundry to sort , still need to get my hair trimmed and nip into city centre for a few bits and bobs before setting off around lunchtime tomorrow. Dresses have arrived that I ordered online so will try them on later and get DD's input.
