Updating My Credit File to show my bankruptcy

I hope someone can advise me please.
I put myself into bankruptcy in 2009 and was discharged a year later.
I have worked hard since then, all on cash, no credit and all is fine now, no money worries at all.
I decided to try and rebuild my credit rating and have been through the MSE list, including checking my credit files. I have been onto the "CheckMyFile" web site to get my credit file/report. It still lists all the creidt cards and mortgagaes I had BEFORE the bankruptcy and it shows me as having an excellent credit rating!
I do feel it should be updated, but am concerned if I do, my credit rating will crash, currnelty have no credit, mobile phone.
What's teh best way to do this please?

First get the proper £2 statutory credit report from each Experian and Equifax.
See: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/loans/check-free-credit-report#statfile
Checkmyfile is not reliable and does not hold all data.
Make sure you give all address you have lived at for the past 6 years or more.
Callcredit can be got free from: https://www.noddle.co.uk/
Then do: Credit Reference File Clean Up Post Bankruptcy

If you were made bankrupt in 2009 then details of all accounts will remain on your file until 6 years after your bankruptcy date.
Having said that you need to read the first sticky regarding cleaning your credit score as I have found many of my old accounts have not been made 'satisfied' and therefore the 'debt' remains.0 -
Just make sure all the default dates match your BR so everything drops off at the same time.0

Satisfied or not satisfied makes not difference with a defaulted account pon when it drops off. It's 6 years from the default date no matter what.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
