Is it easier to open one with an existing bank?
Do you know if they ever ask any questions as to why another is being opened?
It can be easier, if your existing bank is happy with the way your account has been managed.
Yes, sometimes they do ask you questions. You need a reason, such as managing your finances, keeping household expenses separate from personal etc
If you apply online there might not be any such question, or you may be presented with a list of options, in which case just select the most appropriate
