If you have an email stating something along the lines of 'the price for a sea view room is £xx' and you then confirmed the booking based on that price you may have an argument
But if they told you a price and it didn't state a room type but you went on to REQUEST it then no you don't have an argument. I'm really confused as to how you booked this and how the room type has or has not been confirmed if I'm honest.

Me too. I'd like to help, but it's really not clear. The first post seemed to talk about one hotel, then suddenly there were two, and I'm not sure how they relate to each other.

OP - you could try contacting LowCostBeds or Medhotels to see what your agent booked with them, but likely they will not entertain a direct query and will refer you back to the agent, so you really do need to have a clear discussion with the agent about what you requested and what they offered/confirmed, as lea2012 advised. With both of these providers, it is possible another intermediary is involved between them and the hotel, though both also have direct hotel contracts as well.

Thanks for your reply, the reference to both hotels is simply because they are next to each other and are owned by same company, i booked a combo deal to stay at both hotels. The first one is correct its just at shore the room they say is booked is not what i booked through agent. I spoke to agent and they said they will ring up Medhotels about it but so far have not responded to me and that was 3 days ago. If they do not respond am i best disputing through my credit card company?
