Kent Bereavement Service is clearly stated to be a partnership between Kent County Council and simplify.
Which probably means KCC thought it was a great idea to get this 'free help' for everyone, but in practical terms gives simplify even more access to the bereaved than they would with the leaflets they have managed to sneak into Register Offices around the country.
I agree that KCC ought to be told that the helpline basically just gives people a hard sell on a Probate service, and one which they should perhaps google a little before getting into bed with.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

I hope the various people told you that if there is no will you don't apply for probate - it is letters of administration you need. Having said that plenty of people on here have experience of that too and can help out.
