Birmingham airport-parking at international railway station?

I need to drop my daughter off at Birmingham airport when she leaves to work abroad for 7 months. As she has extra luggage and the time she will be away will need an hour or more to be sure she has checked in ok etc.
Have seen extortionate airport parking charges but the international rail station only charges £5 for the day and I believe offers a free 2 min mono rail to the airport.
Just checking this is ok and I won't face any problems on arrival?

It will be fine as long as it isn't full - e.g. If there is a line closure on the other routes, causing more people to use Bham int line.
£5 is the off peak charge I believe? But still cheaper than the airport and easy and quick to get to.PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)0 -
I think its £10 peak days and £5 off peak (as above)
I often park when going away for a weekend, nearly always cheaper than the airport
There is a pick up / drop off place but I think the car needs to have someone with it / be occupied0 -
"These car parks are only a short two minute walk from the Arrivals gate and the tariff prices start from only £4 for up to 1 hour."
Only! what world do they live in!
Yes if you don't mind the trek and if there are spaces, remember it is this price as a Park and Ride for London and Birmingham.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0
