mortgage with iva on file

My partner and I are looking at moving home
We have a completed iva on our credit file it was completed 2 years ago and is due to come off our records June 2016
We have around £20,000 in equity in our current home and earn approx £40,000 a year between us
How likely are we to get a mortgage with a decent rate? Would we be better off staying here another year until the iva is removed from our files?
TIA

I'm no expert but me and my girlfriend are looking for a mortgage and while I earn better money we had to just go of her because I have a ccj on file and no one would touch us. Going off that I would say wait until it's off all together.0

Post the question on the mortgages and endowments section, and one of the mortgage brokers on there will advise you on the best way forward.0 -
Try speaking to one of the brokers who specialise in arranging mortgages for ex IVA customers - there's a couple who post on the iva.co.uk forums.0
