Extending Lease Behind Owners Back?

How long is the lease extension? You could still agree a sale but leave the tenancy to run and exchange and complete after the tenant leaves.
This has crossed my mind. My worry is that I may still be at the mercy of a few more tricks from the tenant (she might leave the place in a state), and I'd probably have to buy the place without viewing it, as the tenant is refusing to let people view it. There's also a chance it may fall through and I've sat waiting for a year for nothing!?0 -
I feel sorry for the tenant here. She's not playing tricks or being awkward- why should she let some random person into her home to "view" it?
Sounds like the vendor doesn't want to lose rental income before the sale goes through and is allowing the tenancy to continue.0
