I am looking for a PCI Express Graphics Card that will output via DVI to TWO TFT monitors.
Under £100 would be good. £150 could be tolerated.
Any recommendations?

There's probably a 6600GT with dual DVI too but that would be nearer £150. (better for games).Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:

There's nothing wrong with XFX; their high-end cards come highly recommended in many popular computer magazines!
Searching in Froogle revealed this little gem, an XFX 6600GT with dual DVI. Personally though, I think you'd be better off plumping for the equivalent BFGTech card. It may cost a little more, but it does include a lifetime warranty, and is pre-overclocked at the factory to boot!
Here's a nice little selection.0 -
Not had much good luck with XFX. I fitted one for a m8 who wanted to spend as little as possible. Once I got past the BSOD problem it fried itself after playing hl2 for 3hours.
The guy at CCL said to me XFX are the most returned item and advised me that going non-XFX would sort it. I went for a MSI instead and its been in there without onje problem for 6months+ now.0 -
I probably should have said that I don't want to play games, the card will only be used for 2D apps (until Longhorn at least!)
My PC is very quite at the moment, I don't want a minor hurricane in my study.
Does this changes things or am I asking for the impossible?0 -
The 6600 series run at a lower clockspeed (and hence less power consumption) when doing 2D.
However, if you find it's too loud I think you can get passive heatsinks and heatpipes for the 6600 and 6600GT ranges. Alternatively fit one of the Zalman GPU coolers. To be honest I don't think the fan will be too loud when doing 2D stuff. The 6600 series run at a lower clockspeed (and hence less power consumption) when doing 2D. Try some of the overclockers shops

My Gigabyte GVNX66T128VP is passively cooled with 2 heatsinks and heatpipes, has VIVO but only one DVI connector.Hug provider for depression thread :grouphug:
