You can freeze meat in a domestic-sized freezer (not an ice-box) for about 3 months.

For pork, you need to thoroughly defrost it, either on a plate in the fridge, or using the microwave. Then ensure it's thoroughly cooked, which you should be able to do (easily) using the grill above, as long as the slices are thin enough (probably no more than 2cm thick).

Pork should never be eaten when it's pink inside, as pig viruses can cross over to humans through that route.

BTW we wouldn't call that a toaster.

This is a toaster (pork-free zone):-

^^^NOT applicable in the UK. Pork is parasite free and perfectly safe to eat pink as long as you ensure it was raised and slaughtered in the UK. Look for the red tractor symbol.

quick question: can I buy the joint and get the butcher in the supermarket to cut it for me for free?

also, how can I store them in portions in the freezer? do I have to waste food bags for each portion?

    Yes, you probably can.

You can get about 250 bags for a pound in Poundland.

I think the OP is looking for the absolute, most cost-effective approach. Which will probably be, as suggested, to buy a joint of meat from the supermarket, and slice it into individual portions.
