Hello
I'm sure this has been asked before, I am just having a panic over something I have sold on ebbay which has gone for more than I expected, they have paid by Paypal, have I read somewhere that you money can be reversed within 5 days or am just going a little madder?
Thank you for any help you can offer, mini

This is the problem with Paypal, buyers can ask for a chargeback. This is why i've withdrawen my funds quickly. I'm going to use Nochex instead as these do not offer a chargeback option.
Don't worry if the buyer is satisfied with their purchase there shouldn't be a problem. This is what bidding is about, when bids are made then you can end up with your item going for a high price depending how much the item is wanted.0 -

Think this is a mistake, your prices will crash.
If your item has sold for say less than £150/£200 I would say as a seller you will be ok. It tends to be high value items that run the risk of scammers. As a seller I would contact buyer and get their details inc phone number (call them) to ensure they are for real. This is where the feedback comes into its own, you can see what they have been buying, are they active etc and make a decision that way on whether to take further precautions.0 -

Yeah i understand what you say but i have had friends who have sent their items off and the buyer has arranged chargeback saying item not received. Even when the seller has proof of posting. You do get some who grab their money back once they have the items in their possession to sell them on themselves. My items all total £259 and were very important to me and very collectable, but i had no choice but to sell them to clear some of my overdraft. Now i have sent all items off and all my buyers payed by Paypal. Now Paypal nearly always refund money to buyers even if you stress you sent out the items. I won't risk it. Nochex do not have a chargeback facility.0 -
Ensure you ssend it by Special Delivery with correct insurance amount and then you should be ok. Or alternatively tou could use a courier.0

Buyers can and do raise chargebacks against NoChex. The difference is that NoChex doesnt pass those costs onto you.0 -

Hintza is quite right, you must be able to prove delivery, NOT posting.
Please read my response on the following thread, it may be of help, but basically you as the seller need to insure yourself against a claim of non receipt. The special delivery insurance is to protect you, not the buyer.
