Mobile Phone To Use in Germany

Hi Folks,

Going to Berlin for weekend. I knew most UK mobile will charge heavily for calling UK.

I knew 3 appears to be a good choice. I am NOT a 3 customer. However,I have a 3 sim card at home. Can i just credit it and use it over there?

All the prices are capped now, cost me next to nothing in spain recently, and only 1.68 a day for data. so i'd just use your normal phone, unless your going completly mental with calls and texts

I've set myself up with Vodafone so that I can use my normal phone and data allowances when I'm roaming for a charge of £3 per day.

3 doesn't offer feel at home in Germany and if you've never used the SIM abroad you need to call them and register it - it takes 24-48 hours to update. It's not cheap, if you're going just for the weekend check if where you're staying offers free wifi. Bars and cafes tend to - Starbucks McDonalds pubs etc
