Seller wants to move 2 days AFTER completion

When we were FTB our vendors asked if they could move a couple of days after completion. As we weren't able to move until the weekend anyway, and were in rented, it actually didn't bother us.
But if you are using a homebuyers mortgage (not btl mortgage) then vacant possession is required, surely?0 -
We were clueless TBH. It didn't occur to us that there would be a problem. Actually, what do you do if the only suitable day to move is a Saturday? Is that just never possible? We have had the offer of use of a large van and willing hands, but only at the weekend. We will be likely to be setting a completion date within the next few weeks hopefully.
