    Even if you don!t live in the UK I'm sure potato growing bags can be bought on Amazon. They will be lighter for your balcony than pots but may need watering more frequently.

    i just thought I'd update.

    The plant is doing really well and there are three separate growths.

    I've just taken a photo,which I'll try and upload.
