Hi all
Lovely to hear about Scampi & Milly, hubby & a friend are repairing out fence & so I bought Arnie indoors out of the way, he wants to help, lol. Camelot, he is obviously feeling more settled as he no longer feels the need to sit on my knee
I drove for the first time today, my distance vision is fine, just my close vision is bu££ered we only went to the local shop, I needed some potatoes, hubby came with me & offered useful advice by screaming 'Mind the bus' & 'There's a roundabout ahead'! Amazingly he survived the trip!
I'm making turkey ham & mushroom pie & cottage pie in a while so that's meals for the next couple of days sorted. I've also sorted out my larder cupboard, I did try to vacuum through, but Arnie took exception to the vacuum & started to attack it so I gave that up & swept the floor instead,

Update on DD the dentist says that because she is not in pain she can't get an emergency appointment, which is a shame because if she was in pain it would only have cost her £18.80Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Thats rediculous!
Just come back from seeing Mom. She was in a good mood today though her chest was a little rattly. She whistled and sang throughout the hour or so i was with her. Happy as anything she was. I'd have joined her if i could whistle so i sang and clapped instead.
Good job we were in her room, the other residents would have thought we were barn pots! :rotfl:
As usual i sent a family pic to my kids who thought it was hilarious (in a nice way of course). This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Glad your vision seems to be improving.
Made DH cooked breakfast and a home made pie with chips for lunch. Planning chicken thai green curry for dinner and popping out to shops later to top up DD's phone while she is in hospital, buy more tea lights for aromatherapy and look in local furniture shop for mattress topper to Make DH more comfortable.
Managed to get a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning for DH to discuss damage to sinuses and his eye and see if there is anything that will help.
Lovely sunny day and enjoying the garden. DD helped me move the table and chairs back from the garage so we can eat out if it is warm enough.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"

Tru I've been away, and not really caught up - I take it Scampi is the little dog you were waiting to bring home last time I was around?
Your plan of very gradually acclimatising him to the car is a good one; take it all v-e-r-y slowly, and make the car a pleasant place to be for him, and he'll be able to go on trips with you and have lots of fun.:o
BB Oh, for the love of Hathor, why does the poor girl have to be in actual pain to get an appointment? Better, surely, to get the problem sorted asap, and avert the painful bit? Maybe she should've cried a few crocodile tears and claimed agony.:(If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Afternoon everyone I'm back home after the train journey from hell!!! of 3 carriages only 2 seats didn't have a reservation ticket on them, I was lucky and spotted one of them and actually got to sit all the way back to Hampshire. The train was heaving with people, half the reservations weren't being used but folks didn't want to sit in the seats and the luggage rack was overflowing and big cases left all over the corridors and the space between the seats which meant chaos when the trolley lady wanted to pass or the guard needed to check tickets. Surely the railway operators must know how many tickets they've sold and how many carriages are needed??? you would think so anyway, it was HORRIBLE! Ne'mind I'm home now and Docky was pleased to meet me and I have tea so all's well with the world. Had such a lovely time with DD and that Pushycat and the weather is lovely . I'm home, the washing is on and I'm unpacked so It's OK now, Lyn xxx.0
