Tuesday 7th April what small DFW-things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and canceling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important. :money:
Morning guys
Hurrah to it being Tuesday & a short working week :T Been up nearly an hour as had to do some work before work iyswim!
Small things for today:
* hang washing out - checked weather and it's promising to be safe!
* another load
* check banking
* free breakfast & lunch at work
* go for a run after work - need to clear the fog from my mind
* make dgd's pack lunch
* post letter - must do this!
* sand doorway

Good morning Determined & all who follow
I gave up my personal Facebook account over 2 years ago, although it remains an important tool for my business. I regularly get customers saying we've been seeing your x cake or pie pictures on fb. So a no brainer. But I have found since only doing twitter my personal happiness has been higher. So anyone trying to make that choice go for it.
I don't put pictures of my child online anymore which I found I was always doing with fb. And realising that likes were important to me when the people doing it I hadn't seen since school in many cases. Felt like a seal clapping for fish in the end.
Deactivating is in the settings. I haven't done so, just never visit my page any longer.
Hope for a better days trade now everyone is back into routine.
Just did a quick check on the bank account. All the main bills have now gone out.
Will be walking to work and probably to collect son and cycling home.
planning dinner around some discount mince my husband brought home last night
should be able to buy the few items I need for work this morning using a nectar reward plus some change.
think that's it.
have a good Tuesday all.

Morning all, Another beautiful blue sky here again
Determined - Thanks for the start. As bob said its in settings but I struggled to find it so I entered deactivate into the help section on their and followed the instructions, its written quite small on the page. When you deactivate you can get back onto it by just logging in as normal but you can also close the account and that gets rid of everything completely, I need to look at doing this now.
Bob - I knew that if I didn't deactivate it I'd keep popping on without even thinking about it, it was just part of what I did if that makes sense. Hope you have a good days trade today.
Today is a bit of on odd day as ds2 has hospital appointment at 10.45 but we parking sometimes can be a nightmare so we will be there before 10am just to hopefully find a space. We never know how long we are going to be there so other then the important bits of jobs, everything else can just wait until tomorrow.
So todays tiny list is...
Check banking/update spreadsheet
All meals from stores (all meals are left overs from yesterday so easy today)
Take bottle of water & snacks to Hospital in case of a long wait.
If I get more done today its a bonus
Have a good day all xxxFollowing :money: to keep us debt free :j0 -

Morning all,
Feeling pretty fed up - JoJo, I feel your pain as I had a pants night's sleep too. House also looks like a tip and can only blame myself as did not clean yesterday.
Short list, more because I feel I should at least try to keep on top of things- B/L/D from stores
- Check online banking and reconcile against spreadsheet (looks miserable)
- Rough meal plan for week
- Charge phone in work
- Turn data off on phone as running low
- Tend to seedlings

Morning all!
Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was good and I didn't spend much other than on diy bits and there was money set aside for this.
Today started off badly so hopefully it gets better - OH was sick in the night and dog pooped in the house so there's me half asleep with a bucket of water and disinfectant which I then manage to throw across the kitchen! Fortunately before I'd mopped up any bodily fluids!! :rotfl:
Today I have/will:
* Check banks
* Use free foundation
* Take lunch to work
* Check gourmet card in bag
* Go for a walk at lunch
* Check car for CD wallet as I've sorted out my CD cases for music magpie/zapper/ziffit but need the actual CDs!
* Earn more on OnePoll - I got so far with this and seem to have given up!
* Bulk buy shampoo and conditioner and use TCB
* Dinner out with friend tonight but hopefully use gourmet card and will try park for free and spend as little as possible!
Think that's everything for today but I will try and be frugal in everything I do!Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89

Afternoon DFW-Ninjas,
Thanks for the starter DNM. Well, life goes on, and the debt goes down!
Yesterday we went Wombling:
First our new neighbour was clearing her garden and gave us some old pots full of good quality compost and four dwarf shrubs which OH thinks can be nursed back to health.
Then, as we were passing a shop, someone was binning a dented, circular bin lid. We asked for it and it perfectly fits our compost bin which had only an improvised lid.
We finally finished building and filling the new home-made raised veg bed. Total cost £6. Chinese radish, beetroot and savoy cabbages have been planted. We thought we'd try to plant them in something other than straight lines too so it's a bit ornamental. Photo here mid-way through planting. We have moved the corner plants part away from the sides to allow for growth. We'll let the grass grow right up to the bed. (Link to photo)
We also had a very nice piece of discounted beef; cheap because the polystyrene tray holding it was damaged.
The List:
:starmod: Do i-Say surveys and claim £10 voucher. Spend voucher.
:starmod: Check online banking and sort out wee muddle.
:starmod: Sew pulled cottons into hooded sweatshirt.
:starmod: OH to do some gardening. Pricking out.
:starmod: Dinner will be home-battered sausages from farmers' market and homemade potato wedges.
That's all for today. Good luck on your quests, Ninjas.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0
