Hi I have just upgraded my Honeywell Optima burglar alarm panel, PIRS and Bell box.
New system is Honeywell logic six panel and Honeywell IS-215T PIRS
Utilizing existing 4 core wiring to door contacts and PIRS ( + red, - black, yellow & blue
I have the following 7 cables 28 wires to connect to the panel
1 no entry / exit door contact zone 1
1 no PIR in Garage zone 2
2 door contacts zone 3
3 PIRS zone 4
I am Ok with the wiring to the bell box to the panel, but could do with some advice on the reconnection of wires from the door contacts and PIRS within the panel
Any help or advice would be most welcome

4 core to PIR's ? PIR's should have 6 cores Red + Black - then a tamper pair and a zone pair
The cables to the door should be easy to find if you have a multi meter connect across a pair with the door closed say red and black on continuity, if there's continuity then go and open the door and check again, if there no continuity then that's going to be the contact pair for the zone.
If there's only 4 cores to the PIR's then red and black will be + and - accordingly, the other pair will terminate in the C and NC terminals but you wont have a tamper. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -
The alarm engineer was in my house for about 8 hours sorting out what the last lot had done. Good luck.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

Many thanks for your response
I Have all my cables tagged in the new panel so I know what cable goes to which PIR / door contact
I have decoded that I will use all 6 zones on the panel to make the wiring much easyier
Zone 1 entry / exit
Zone 2 Garage PIR
Zone 3 Lounge PIR
Zone 4 Dining PIR
Zone 5 Kitchen PIR
Zone 6 Study and cloak room door contacts
So from what you are saying connect + red & - black on each of the PIRS to the + & - on the panel and Blue and yellow straight into each zones 2,3 , 4 & 5 dont leave the tamper link in.
For the study would you connect 2 reds and 2 black wires into each of the connectors on zone 6 and connect yellow and blue together in a connector lock and the other yellow and blue together in another connector block does that sound right ?

If you only have 4 cores then you wont be able to have a tamper at the pir's or are they wired in 6 core ?
Zone 1 only needs 2 cores so use yellow and blue
Zone 2/3/4/5 red + black - yellow and blue to corresponding terminal on panel.
Zone 6 if you have two door contacts then you want to connect the yellow from one cable and the blue from the other cable into the zone terminal, the remaining yellow and blue need connecting together in a connector.
If you do have 6 core cable at the pir's then the green and white cables want connecting into the tamper terminal in series though or the tamper wont work correctly. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
