Credit rating subscriptions

until we get a mortgage in our own names later this year we have taken the decision to subscribe to the main agencies for there service. It means I can log in any time and see the latest balances.

It is a bit of a bill though,

Credit expert £14.99 x 2
Equifax £14.95 x 2
Noddle a bit cheaper at £20 for a year x 2

so over a year me and the missus will pay £760 for these services which is a bit pricey. I do really like the idea of being able to log in any time and see all the info.

However is there anything to stop us ordering the £2 report every 2 weeks for example so that we can check it that way? Having paid for the noddle - which only updates once a month unfortunately, this would drop it from £60 a month to £10 a month which feels better.

Is there a restriction on getting the statutory report?

thanks

Just get the £2 reports and the free one with Noddle, just check now and 3 months prior to application to be sure everything looks ok. Either that our blow a load of money for no reason.

    Hi uncreative,

What on earth are you worrying about your credit history for?

Looking at your sig, everything seems in order (although you may want to reduce the amount of available credit. Thats a lot!) What 'balances' are they showing that you don't already know about?

Just carry on, run your finances normally and your credit history will reflect this. I wouldn't even pay for the £2 report tbh. it isn't going to tell you anything that you don't already know!

Whatever you do, do not sign up for these monthly fees. They are a total waste of money. I think you are worrying about nothing.

If youi do choose to pay for the £2 report to ease your nerves, don't do it every to weeks. Thats far to often!

Don't worry, you are doing fine. You look after your finances, let your Credit History take care of itself.
