Does Severe Disability Payment Affect Benefits

My Mum is 86 and receives housing and council tax benefit. She gets attendance allowance and automatically received the severe disability payment, will this affect her benefits.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking.

If she receives higher-rate attendance allowance and lives alone she will receive the severe disablement premium on any guaranteed pension credits she receives, which will increase the amount of money she receives each week.

She receives £64.50 AA and they automatically awarded her the SDP, does she need to inform the Housing and Council Tax benefits office. I wonder if these benefits will stop because she is now getting more money.

Short Answer - neither affects HB or CTB

Long Answer - AA and DLA are never taken into account - they are effectively not considered as income.
SDP is a part of Pension Credit - Guarantee Credit (PC-GC), which itself gives eligibility for full HB.

Lots of people are surprised that they get both AA/DLA and then SDP on top and it doesn't affect their HB/CTB, but it doesn't.

Send the council a letter if you want, explaining that she's now getting AA and SDP but continues to received PC-GC
