hi all , i need some advice on working tax credit, i recently sent in the application and was accepted, reading some notes on the internet however i wondered if i filled it in correctly. i am self employed and i was asked to submit my earnings on the form i put down my net earnings (that is earnings after allowable expenses but before tax) is that correct or do i need to enter my gross earnings (before my allowable expenses, as these are very high , i use a lot of petrol for my job). i am just concerned thats its all correct so i dont have to pay it back.
gross earnings 15000.
allowable expenses £7000.
nett profit £8000.
also anyone know if i would be entitled to housing benefit.
thanks

Hello,
You have no need to worry, you were correct in only declaring your net profit. Don't know about housing benefit, best thing to do is ask your local authority.
