Anyone managed to get ITV player app working on android tablet?

Has anyone managed to get the ITV player app to work consistently on an android tablet? on mine it gets to the ad break and crashes then restarts from beginning. If you restart and try to fast forward to where it crashed, it takes you to the next ad break and replays the ads before
taking you back to the start again.
It appears to be bound up with an attempt to prevent you from fast forwarding during the ads. However once it has force fed them to you instead, it is unable to continue where it left off and instead goes back to the start . You can not watch ITV player direct via google, like you can iPlayer, because flash is not supported.
Has anyone fixed this? If so would be eternally grateful to know how.

Can't say I have this problem. Generally it works fine on my android phone and tablet. It does very occasionally crash.0
