This was a one-off spreadsheet that will not be used again. I should add that I did not devise the spreadsheet; I merely amended it a bit. If I had done it from scratch, I would have avoided a formula like that, probably by using a UDF. However, the question remains how best to make complicated spreadsheet formulae easier to understand and check?

You could always break it down into micro-steps with each step in a cell and range that clear ly iits purpose ('rngRealTermsAdjustment' etc so that the code is self documenting.

This wind is scary! Could hear banging outside and thought I would go investigate. ..wind almost had me over so did the sensible thing and went back inside without finding out what is banging about in the wind.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

Now is absolutely not the time to live on top of a hill.

I like hearing the storm howl outside whilst I am safe and warm inside.

I live at the bottom of a hill, adjacent to a forest. When it is really windythe sound from the trees is something else.

Tonight we cooked a meal we have never done before, lots of different flavours and tasted of winter.

Red cabbage cooked with orange peel, redwie and sherry vinegar.
Partridge cooked in chinese 5 spice served with black pudding
    Rosti
Sherry sauce made with a game stock.

I had never cooked partridge before. It was delicious but I had lots of problems with my hand whilst preparing dinner. At one point I could not get the top off the sherry, the top was stuck on the magimix with the grated potatoes stuck inside and a cooks knife wedged in another large potato. OH had to rescue me (& and dinner )when he got in from work. Worth it in the end, and I could see the funny side.

I hate the wind. I hate the thought that something might blow over/open and, in the wind and dark, it's impossible to be sorted out. e.g. if my gate blew open, I'd have no way of closing it again.... you don't want to leave something like that flapping, but have no choice as it'd be dark, windy and you've nothing big/strong enough to wedge against it.

    HATE wind..... hate it.

Here, in this room, I'm protected from hearing it most of the time. Round the back it's quite a haven. But step outside and there's a wind tunnel and vortex that takes your head off when it's just usual "blowy".

Luckily, to date, I've had nothing occur here yet due to any winds.

Something is banging around outside. I suspect the trampoline has moved. I suggested OH go and investigate, but he refused. I have decided not to put the bins out in case they fly away. It is the turn of the recycling ones and neither has much in it, so they are not weighed down.

A lorry has overturned near us. I spent more time on the road than I was comfortable with earlier.

I have a precarious fence, trampoline and an already wind-battered indutrial grade sun umbrella thing that has spent two years slowly falling apart and falling over. It will probably end up through the glass table outside.

Doozer is never here when its windy.

Trying not to think about it. It's pretty quiet indoors.

From my bedroom window, the tree that was still impressively leafed earlier is barely leafed at all. I can now see the house across the road where the little old lady doesn't appear to live anymore. I don't know what's happened since the tree grew back earlier in the year.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I had a text from DS just after 9 p.m. to say that he'd eventually made it south of the river. Mind you, I don't know what time he set out from work in Essex.....

We decided we would put our bins out, as we can put the small ones inside the low garden wall, i.e. between it and the house. The lids are weighted down with old coping stones. We usually put them somewhere more visible, so we're just hoping the bin men think to look for them on the other side of the wall! And, of course, that they put them back where they found them, rather than out on the pavement to blow away.

Spirit That meal sounds very nice indeed :)

My bins have all gone flying down the path that leads to my back garden and are now lying there looking very sorry for themselves, not going to bother picking them up until tomorrow.

No idea what is happening out in the back garden, too dark to see but I will be amazed if all the fence panels are still up in the morning and I am hoping my Sky dish is still attached, no signal at the moment.

Oh and a window is beggered, there was a bit of a gap, it was supposed to be on the list to be fixed by the HA (along with a multitude of other things under the decent homes scheme)...now there is a very large gap and it keeps opening, so think the window has been caught by the wind and the internal catch broken, anyone got any blu tac?
