Financial link and my credit?

I split with my ex in 2012 and in 2013 I paid off all my debts, I was on a Dmp with step change but once I became single managed to sort my finances out!

In 2013 I got a vanquis cc which has never missed a beat :-) all payments up to date.

In jan 2014 I got a gmac car loan for 6k paid in off eight months later, no missed payments.

Dec 2012 I got a mobile contract with three, again all paid each month on time.

My last default was gain in August 2011.

Yet despite all this my noodle report is 2 blips and my mse crefit card search is still only suggesting I can get poor credit, credit cards.

My mortgage again never missed a beat is in joint names with my debt ridden ex. I'm currently divorcing him and will be getting a consent order so that the house is totally mine, I can't get a new mortgage due to income.

So how am I going to get my credit rating up?
Does my financial connection (mortgage) with ex effect me? If so how can I sort this problem out?

Thank you in advance :-)
Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!

Yes a financial link with someone with a poor credit history will impact upon you. The only way to get rid of this is to get him off the mortgage i suspect. Not sure if a consent order will achieve this?

Your credit history is of course still being hampered by your defaults which will drop of after 6 years. Not much you can do about this of course, but once this happens i think you will see a dramatic uptick in how you are viewed.
