    Sorry, don't know understand the question?
    How do you get your email? Do you log onto a web page and receive it that way. Or, do you have something like Outlook or Thunderbird that gets the email for you?
    Who is your email provider?

    Outlook.com or Outlook programme on your PC?

    If it's Outlook 2007 up, try checking this....
    Tools-> Options-> Mail Format-> Editor Options…-> tab AutoFormat
    Make sure that the ticks are all there.

    Sorry for the delay in trying your suggestion out... just did it but now discovered I have 2003 version. Can't even find tools! Do you have time to help further? Thanks

    Find the file - outcdm.dat - and delete it. Open outlook and Hopefully, this will restore your tool bar.

    No luck, don't even know how you find that? I really need a step by step guide as I'm clearly a very basic user at present. I'm really confused with this notebook, it's annoying that I just can't get to grips with it. It's so different from my old laptop that I think I'll need to get some help.

    Thanks anyway.

    Make sure Outlook is not running.....To restore default views try opening the Run box and typing in and entering outlook.exe /CleanViews

    If that fails....to load it without the Outcmd.dat file... try Run and type outlook.exe /safe:4
