6 year old debt

Options
hello experts

i need your help regarding the issue of debt. i am a IFA, 6 years ago i had opened the forex trading account in Alpari Uk, and let my software to trade for few weeks, after few weeks it made me a profit of £2650 and then i took a withdrawal.
then few months later i received the email from alpari uk to return those funds because that was mistakenly credited to my account in Alpari uk. i have told them that as i know it was the profit of trades but they claimed it was not. they did show me the reciept of funds was being credited mistakenly into my account but different name of account name similar to my name.
so i did not reply nor they asked me, and matter went quite
now after more than 6 years when alpari uk has gone in administration, the debt collectors known as cci sent me the email to return the money or they will consider going to court.

now my concern i do not want to have ccj at all in my file, what should i do, i do think it was my money which i withdrew, and its now 6 years ago. would they go to court? if yes what are their chances to prove ? should i wait for the court letter then reply?

i am quite worried please advise me on this i would be very grateful.

regards

Be honest you know the answer.
The debt may have not been acknowledged but the default is within 6 years so they can apply to a court for a CCJ - bearing in mind your occupation - you don't need this do you?

    No you don't.

Let's be honest here, what you want is a way to avoid paying it back without getting yourself in bother.

You're an IFA - surely you have a bit of common sense when it comes to money?
