Sofa works - sofa shield

Hello i have purchased a new sofa today from sofa works and the salesman kept going on about the insurance they sell for £270 called sofa shield which lasts for 5 years and apprently covers EVERYTHING? if they can not repair it then they replace it he says.
I am unsure if to buy this, could someone with experience tell me if it worth it?

It makes the salesman loads of money so by all means buy it if you want to enrich him.
Otherwise ask him why this brand new sofa won't last 5 years.
