Do I have a problem and if so...............

Options
Looking at "My Computer" on laptop, it shows that:-

"C" drive has 0% free

"D" drive has 90% free

The bar in "C" drive is RED

The bar in "D" drive is BLUE (what little there is of it).

So, is someone going to suggest I move stuff from "C" to "D" ? and if so, how?.

Whilst I don't look at My Computer more than about 3/4 times a year, it's the first time I've sen it red.

first off, do a windows disk cleanup, details here:-

MSE Forums Vista - how do i free up my disc space

written for vista but same principle applies to all Windows versions

secondly, in your Documents folder, copy (not cut) and paste pics, docs, etc. to your D: drive. Once you comfirm it's safely on your D: drive, you can delete those files from your C: drive

this is a quick solution :)

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • It also looks as though any downloads or installs of programs automatically goes to 'd'.
