If they ever have clients out on site, is it not reasonable to want to demonstrate a reasonably smart, professional workforce? I think making a fuss about not being able to wear jeans to work is pretty childish tbh...
I would feel suspicious if all the coders were in suits it wouldn't seem quite right.0 -

Yes but I didn't mean appearances just as in, smart shirts and ties, but all those rules giving the appearance of efficiency, rather than the reality.0
