    Good afternoon everyone

Hugs to everyone who needs one.

Tru glad Scampi and you are friends again.
HH hope the vision continues to improve.
Judi glad the hedge has gone, they cause so much work!
rosie383 not sure what to say about glass jars. when we moved last year I got rid of mine, and then have built up a stock of jars at the new house it depends how much you need to use them.:)

Rather grey and chilly here today. Had a lie in, but have done the ironing and have done 3 loads of washing and have hung it indoors as I don't think it will dry outside. Did all the housework yesterday.

Have put a vegetable stew in the slow cooker for dinner, just hope everyone likes it as its a new to us recipe. Will probably make an apple crumble for pud. I made a simnel cake yesterday, so just need to finish the top off.

Feeling a bit guilty as we couldn't afford to go and stay with my mum for easter, and the car needs to go and have some work done to it, so she is on her own. Will give her a ring tomorrow and hope she's ok.

Have a good rest of the day everyone.:):)

The sun was trying to get out this morning but it has gone a bit dark and dismal now.

Made breakkie for six - Spanish pork and peppers with bulgar wheat for lunch for us all and have a huge bolognese sauce in a low oven. Just need to make the white sauce , soften some leeks for a small low calorie version as well as assemble a large tray for the rest of us.

Wedding blessing is next Saturday and cannot go down the aisle in jacket and shoes - no matter how nice - so ordered some dresses in the sales outlet with a matching bag and hopefully they will be what I want.

Thank you so much to the person who suggested just last season as they have lovely things at half the price :j Even my very discriminating satorially minded DDs liked them for me.

I would have loved to see the political person's face. Have you noticed that when they say they want to engage with the voters - they mean that THEY engage - voters are supposed to nod, look grateful and vote.;)

I hope your eyesight improves quickly for you and make sure you rest.

DH is getting tired but managing to eat proper meals so yippee!:j:j

DD is baking scones for him and older DD and SIL are going to visit eldest in hospital and take her some things she needs.

Just nipping out to get some veg for tomorrow so see you all later.

    Hugs to all

Afternoon all. I was up extra early this morning feeling rubbish after a bad night with the ongoing down-below problem. Doped myself up with painkillers and the never-ending antibiotics, threw myself on the sofa and after a couple of hours felt quite a bit better. Even made a mincemeat tart, using one of the 10p jars Sainsbo's were selling off after Xmas. Will go down nicely with some custard after dinner.

Just back from town and feeling pretty chuffed with a bargain buy! We are off to a family Christening tomorrow and my outfit was already hanging up in the bedroom - a top I got in Boundary Mills with a black jacket and skirt. Then I spotted a candy pink fitted jacket in a sale and was hooked!! More so when I found a top that went with it perfectly! So that, with some black linen trousers I already have, is now my Christening outfit! I love it!

Tru, my friend is going through much the same as you with a rescue dog (hers is a Springer) she is so timid and frightened of every noise. With much patience she is a different dog indoors but, once outside, she is still very nervous.

Have a good rest of the day everyone. Take care x ps Rosie, popped an answer on the Moving thread if it's any help to you if you are wanting shut of them.

    Afternoon All
Being rather lazy here, DH Just put a loaf on and peeled veg, for me to cook. Listening to the top 500 on Smooth Radio. I am sorting files out on the pc, but it seems to be lazy, even though essential.

Elona. If you get stuck, there is a Jaques Vert outlet at the GlassHoughton Retail Outlet, and House of Fraser Outlet on Doncaster always has some good bargains in, as does Boundary Mills. This time last year DS was getting married and it was quite pleasant weather with jacket and dress. How time flies. I might add I waited for the Debenhams sales for my outfit OS and MS always :D;):o

judi I think they maybe enjoy the night life in Donny. I also hate hedges.

RR enjoy your days off, you deserve them.

HH Hope your sight soon improves.

Jackie0 I detest taste, smell, etc., of anything from the onion family (leeks/onions/chives etc). I would visit my Mum's after I was married and walk in and say, you've had onions for dinner, they would often say, that was 3 days ago, and yes I think Leeks were on of the worst for lingering.

Venison Burgers and mash and veg today for tea/dinner depending where you live. Using up the freezer meat.

Looking forward to the Voice final tonight. Looking at planning our caravan trips, at the moment first one is beginning of June, but cannot wait that long. Still debating a month in France in May.
Need to get DH ready to plan, or agree to my plans ;):D:D

((Hugs)), spoons, positive vibes to all those not feeling up to par, and a large wide size 8 for any lurking BD's out there.

    Take care everyone

Well youngest has sent me a picture of his latest acquisition.... Hes got a nose ring to go with the 10mm holes in his ears..... i have to remind myself that it will heal up if he gets bored of it when he grows out of the phase. I also have to remind myself he could be into worse things....Ive had to prepare his Dad for the shock when he does eventually come home. He tends to flip first and think later so the warning will prepare him.

Ive also been sent two pictures from hubby.

First pic is from Plymouth and was taken this morning.

Second picture was taken an hour ago on Bude beach.

Spent a couple of hours with my Auntie this afternoon. Had to push myself out the door as i was stuck in recluse mode. Glad i made the effort.

Ive gone through some paperwork. 10 year old bank statements have been shredded and binned. Copies of documents ive stored online. Yes today has been quite productive.

DH was going to have an early night so I took up flask of boiling water. cups, tea bags and sorted out aromatherapy for him.

Next thing I know he has gone upstairs with no hands free because he has loaded himself up and fallen up the stairs. Managed to get him to his feet and no harm done but he got a nasty shock.

Think he has finally realised why I try to get him settled early and why I insist everyone should have a hand free going up and down the stairs.

Can't wait till we can get sold up and into a bungalow and there are fewer hazards.
