Weather in Tunisia in May (holiday village Manar)

Hi

We are thinking of squeezing a holiday in during May and the Tunisian First Choice holiday village is coming up cheap (£960 5* AI for my family, 2 adults, 3yrs and 0yrs).

But someone has warned that the weather might be a bit hit and miss. Does anyone have an experience? All the online weather things seem a bit generic.

Surely Tunisia is going to be as warm / dry as it gets within 3 hours or so?

The weather is clearly the main reason for going to these places, so it would be a bit of a disaster if it rained / was cloudy all week!

Thanks,

Miles

Have you looked up weather averages for the month you are going?

A quick use of Google (quicker than typing this post) tells me on average they have 23mm of rain across the whole month and average 10 hours of sunshine per day.

23mm of rain is not much over a whole month

I have been in May twice. First time was really hot, second time was a week earlier and it was a bit cloudy and cooler. I think just luck though.

Just be careful what you eat, 'cheap' and 'AI', particularly in Tunisia are not always a good combination.

Having said that, this may be a wonderful resort, with great reviews and outstanding hygiene, just feeling the pinch after recent events.

Just do your homework thoroughly first ;)
