Shipping drinks from Thailand to UK - HELP

Since arriving in Krabi my family and I have been addicted to a Japanese drink, Oishi Green Tea, I would love to ship it to the UK. I've googled and so far the cheapest price I can find it in the UK is 99p, I buy it in Thailand for 18 Baht/37p!!!

How do I ship this to the UK, any shipping companies you can recommend, I'm leaving Monday morning so need to sort this out ASAP.

Thanking YOU!

I can't see that this is going to work for you. If you ship in a large quantity you're going to get stung for taxes and fees, removing any saving. Smaller quantities and the cost of shipping will outweigh the saving.

I'd pay the UK price and keep it for a treat. Not a bad idea given the amount of sugar in it ;)

I assume you are considering buying to resell. You don't necessarily need to buy it on this trip but you can check out potential suppliers and negotiate prices. 37p in Thailand and 99p here does not seem very good to me. You need to get it more cheaply than that I would have thought - is 37p the retail price there? I would suggest that you make sure you find proper wholesalers rather than buying retail. They would be geared up to packing and dealing with export paperwork.

You need to get prices for the goods and shipping and also find out the costs of customs clearance and other charges here. I assume there will be no VAT but check this. You also need to know about UK and EU labelling requirements and ideally want the exporter to package it so it conforms.

Most importantly you need to be sure you can sell it - especially for something with a finite shelf life.

He'll just need to get people as addicted as he is.

Instead, how about looking at licensing the brand, importing the syrup and getting it bottled here? Most international brands (Red Bull, Coke, Pepsi, etc) work that way.

Or at the very least, get the liquid imported in one of those big container tanks, then bottle it here.

Hi All, I am not looking at reselling just for my families consumption.

I like your business thinking brains though!
    Thanks

If u can get it back home for 99p , with postage costs I reckon you would need to ship that much to break even, you would probably be sick of it.
