O2 incorrect missed payment on credit file.

Options
Hi I'll try keep this short

Basically I cancelled my o2 contract in Jan...I paid all the fees associated with closing early etc. But I received another bill in Feb asking for £372 for the contract. I then contacted O2 and they said there was a problem with their system and that I dont owe anything. However another month later Ive received a missed payment notification on my credit file. But O2 account shows nothing is owed?

What can I do about this...as I obviously dont want a missed payment when I've correctly closed the account?

Thanks for any help.

ps. Happy Easter to you all.

    Complain to O2 in writing.

If they refuse to fix it, take it to the ombudsman.

You didn't cross a statement date after asking for a cancellation figure before paying?

I've not missed any payment and the online account shows that I do not owe anything yet they have put a mark on the credit file that I owe £372.

I will send them a complaint in writing and hopefully they will sort it.

    Thanks for your assistance.

If the incorrect information has appeared on your Experian Credit Report then let us know we can query the information on your behalf with 02 for you, if your credit report is with a different credit reference agency (CRA), then you may want to speak with them to help you further.

As happy_bunny has mentioned you can contact 02 directly to provide further information in relation to the missing/late payments.

I hope this helps and Happy Easter to you too.
