Error on National Mileage Register

Hi,

We are in the middle of selling our car and had a buyer who was really interested...until he did an HPI check. Came back that there was a discrepancy.

To cut a long story short, it shows that the mileage was registered last february (2014) as 5267. Bearing in mind it was 51534 at MOT in December 2013 and then 53453 in May 2014 when we bought it, we think it is obviously a typo - as in it should be 52670

Can we get this corrected and if so, how?

If the buyer cannot work out its an obvious typo then just wait for a buyer with some brains.

I did think similar but I suppose if they wanted to sell it on at any point, it might prove hassle for them too.

I think it would put me off if I was a buyer.

Just need to know how to get it sorted if we can.

You have paperwork to show the genuine mileage the the figures match the cars true mileage so it shouldnt be a problem.

Contact HPI who run the register and see what they say.
