Hi,
Me and my girlfriend have just exchanged on our first house and we move in on the 24th Aug.
We just wanted to know what we need to have ready for when we move in
E.g
Electric
Gas
Water
Council Tax
TV

When you get in, take meter readings - find out who the suppliers are - then get in touch and just say "Hello, I've just moved into this house and need the bills in my name"
TV License - you will have to have it backdated to 1 August unless you can just not watch it until 8 September. You can sort that out when you're in. You can buy online and pay by dd.
Council Tax. Just phone up the council the day you move in and say "hello ... I've just moved into this address".
Buildings insurance will be in place from now/exchange, but contents insurance won't be - look into that now.
