Can you not save your wages from the time left in the job and use that money to do the travelling.
Other than that or just not going I can't see a lender will lend to you.0 -
:beer:Bank of mum and dad is your best bet or get hitched up with a rich guy who would fund the trip or go along with you and pay for you to go with him.

i always try to look at both sides of every story. I can see the sense in all the comments and it reminds me of a phrase my money savvy dad uses 'don't spend it before you have got it'.....
but i agree that if there is a chance to travel the globe then take it! I have seen most of the world and have learned an awful lot from it, but i have been lucky as iM in the RAF and have been paid to do it.
but if the banks and family are not going to lend you the money...you don't seem to have the choice!Plan: [STRIKE]Finish off paying the remainder of my debts[/STRIKE].
[STRIKE]Save up for that rainy day[/STRIKE].
Start enjoying a stress debt free life.....now enjoying. thanks to all on MSE0 -
Agree with Wiltsguy - basically, you have no choice. You're doing what we all do from time to time - thinking I'd really really like to do/have that. And then eventually, reality dawns. We just can't afford it. It's a bummer but life's like that.0

It's unlikely that anyone will lend to you, you will probably have what is known as a "thin file" meaning you haven't had much credit before, as you are between jobs as well you will be a very unattractive proposition for a lender.
Maybe mum and dad will get a loan on your behalf if you offer to draw a suitable agreement up with them to pay it back etc.0 -
Ahhhhh,
so its not a once in a lifetime opportunity then is it?? You have done plenty of travelling. i'm sure your new firm will let you cobble together a couple of years annual leave and go for a couple of months, or unpaid leave in the next 5 years!
You have convinced me that you really really want to do this, but hey, you can't afford it! That places it into the too bad category. Its joining my wish to spend a year travelling the world watching every major sports event, and trust me i really really want to do that!!
Get yourself a job, keep saving and you won't even need that £1500 overdraft. You can start your new job debt free and ready to go!£1000 Emergency fund No90 £1000/1000
LBM 28/1/15 total debt - [STRIKE]£23,410[/STRIKE] 24/3/16 total debt - £7,298

How about working for 3 or 4 months, then taking a brief holiday shortly before the new job?0

Please tell me where I've been workshy: was it starting working at 16, working my way through a degree (live-in job), going on a working holiday, or working while I found a graduate job to support myself?
Just because I have been abroad doesn't mean I was handed everything on a silver platter0 -

It's your horror at having to work five (FIVE!) years without a three month holiday. Which is completely normal for almost everyone not on a term time contract.
And your list of stuff there? All normal options, not worthy of the cookies you think it is.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -
