Acer laptop

Options
Hi i have a Acer laptop which will not switch on. I did briefly get it up in safe mode but i think the battery charge went then!, since then i cannot get nothing to come on. The power light comes on when switched on and the fan comes on. I have tried taking out battery and doing a reset by holding power button down but to no avail. Please help many thanks.

Try battery out, mains plugged in, mains switch OFF. Hold power button for 20secs. Switch mains on. Try laptop again.
If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.

ok, so if it's not a power issue, then either:-
    1. hdd corrupt not allowing to boot
    2. gpu/screen/screen cable gone giving no display
    3. cpu gone
    4. other mb fault

can you give a more accurate description of what exactly happens when you switch it on? Does the hdd activity light continue to flash, like it's still actually booting? Can you plug it into an external monitor?

yes , and as been suggested on other threads on this forum , you would expect a welcome screen inviting you to press a key to enter the bios and set the settings as the battery is flat or you had fitted a new one

    OP , look else ware
